Booking changes and refunds
Bookings are held by the tour operator, not by us, and they are the only people who can change or refund one. Your confirmation email carries the operator's name and a booking reference; that is the fastest route. Every tour listed here refunds in full up to 24 hours before departure.
Corrections to these pages
If a price, a group size or an opening time here is wrong, tell us and we will check it against the source and fix it. Corrections are welcome and they get made quickly.

Who writes this site
Douro Valley Tours is a small editorial team that reads every tour listing in full, checks hours, prices and access against official sources, and writes the comparison we wanted when we were planning our own first trip up the valley. We are not the tour operator, not a ticketing authority and not connected to any quinta.

The Douro Valley (Alto Douro Vinhateiro), a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape.
Address
Peso da Régua, Vila Real district, Northern Portugal — the gateway town roughly 119 km east of Porto where the A24 meets the river.
Hours
The valley itself has no gate and no closing time. Quintas, the Museu do Douro and the boats set their own; see planning a visit.
